                                                  TOKYO TRIP- PART 1

DAY 3

Tokyo Tower- Imperial Palace

On the 3rd day I visited Tokyo tower which is a landmark of Tokyo. Standing at 333m, it is one of the most popular tourist destination. It is at a walking distance from  the Kamiyacho station on Hibiya line. It has 2 observation decks at 150 and 250 metres from which you can get a complete view of the entire city and if lucky then of even the majestic Mount Fuji. You can see the rainbow bridge, imperial palace etc. from the deck.  There are many souvenir shops and restaurants inside.

Then I visited the Imperial Palace which is the residence of the Imperial family of Japan. It is at a walking  from the Tokyo station and is locateed near the Marunochi district. It is surrounded by sprawling lawns on all the sides. It is surrounded by moats and large stone wall. The main palace is closed for the public except for 2 days- January 2 and December 23. There is a bridge that leads to the entrance of the palace. The palace is a major tourist attractions and many people visit the gardens for an evening walk.
